Schweizer Schach Senioren, officially named Vereinigung der Schweizer Schach Senioren, is a Swiss association for senior chess players. Its French name is Association des Seniors Suisses des Echecs. The association was founded in 1966 to support and promote chess among older players.
Women and men may apply for membership during the calendar year in which they turn 60. The association also requires its members to belong to the Swiss Chess Federation. Schweizer Schach Senioren has more than 600 members from different regions of Switzerland.
The association combines competitive chess with regular social contact between its members. Players of widely different strengths take part in its activities.
