Cash prizes are paid by bank transfer on the Monday after the tournament ends. In addition, all participants receive medals.

For a category prize to apply fully, the category must have at least six players. If it has fewer than six players, only the first-place prize in that category applies.

All players compete in the same main tournament. However, the prize structure also gives extra goals to female players, younger players, lower-rated players, older players, and Tajamar club members.

📅 Schedule

The tournament starts on Saturday morning and then continues with a mixed schedule. First, the opening weekend rounds start at 10:00. Then, most weekday rounds start at 18:15. Finally, the last two rounds return to morning play.

By car, players can approach from the A-3 service road, Exit 3B El Bosco. They can also reach the area through Avenida de la Albufera, Pío Felipe, Avenida de Buenos Aires, the M-30 exit toward A-3, or the M-40 exit toward A-3.

Tie-breaks apply in this order: direct encounter, total Buchholz, Buchholz cut by removing the worst result, and Median Buchholz by removing the best and worst results.

An unjustified no-show leads to removal from the tournament. Therefore, players should contact the arbiter or organizer quickly if a serious issue affects their attendance.

Players may not carry smartwatches, mobile phones, or other electronic devices during games. All electronic and smart devices must remain switched off and stored unless the chief arbiter authorizes another arrangement. A first violation leads to loss of the game. A repeated violation leads to loss of the game and removal from the tournament.

The tournament follows FIDE rules for classical chess. In addition, players accept the publication of tournament data, results, standings, games, photos, and related event materials for tournament communication and promotion.
