Closed Magistral

The closed tournament is a 10-player round robin scheduled for nine rounds from November 23–27 and is designed to be valid for an International Master norm when all FIDE requirements are satisfied.

Open U2400 & U1800

Both Open sections play seven Swiss rounds using VegaChess at 80 minutes plus 10 seconds per move. Pairing complaints are limited to data-entry or serious software errors under the published rules.

Byes

A player may request up to two byes. A bye in Rounds 1–5 gives ½ point, while a bye in either of the final two rounds gives 0 points. Requests must be made in writing before the previous round begins.

Default & Electronics

The normal late-arrival tolerance is 25 minutes; Round 1 allows 45 minutes. Electronic devices may be stored completely switched off in a player’s bag only when the bag is placed as directed by the arbiter and is not accessed without permission. A breach results in loss of the game.

Blitz

The night blitz on Saturday, November 28 starts at 9:45 PM, uses nine rounds at 3+2, and has a 10-minute break after Round 5.

Score Sheets & Playing-Hall Conduct

Open players must hand the signed original score sheet with the correct result to the arbiter. With the 80+10 time control, players may stop recording moves only when their clock falls below five minutes as allowed by the published rule.

Absences

An unexcused failure to appear for a paired round leads to removal from the tournament. Accumulating two absences, whether justified or not, or committing a serious offense can lead to definitive disqualification under the regulations.
