Membership and FIDE ID

Players registered to England or to a federation outside the British Isles need ECF Gold membership expiring on August 31, 2026, or later.

Meanwhile, players registered to Guernsey, Ireland, Isle of Man, Jersey, Scotland, or Wales should hold membership in their national federation.

All entrants need a FIDE ID at the time of entry, unless they want their FIDE nationality to be England.

👥 Organizer

The English Chess Federation organizes the British Chess Championships 2026. The event brings the national championship program, junior championships, 50+ and 65+ championships, rating events, rapidplay, blitz, team chess, and social chess activities together on one university campus.
