⏱️ Time Control & Pairings

The Premier, U2200, U1900, U1600, and U1300 sections use 40 moves in 80 minutes, then 30 minutes to finish, with 30-second delay.

The 3-day schedule uses faster games for the first three rounds. Those games use G/30 with 10-second delay before the schedule merges with the main tournament.

The U1000 section runs only on the 2-day schedule. It uses G/30 with 10-second delay across eight rounds.

Players may request up to three byes. However, they must commit to all byes before Round 3.

Bonus Prizes

The event has six sections.

Premier is open to players rated 2000 and above. This section runs only on the 4-day schedule and offers the largest prizes.

U2200 and U1900 give expert and strong club players competitive rating sections. The U2200 section is also FIDE-rated.

U1600 and U1300 support club players and improving competitors who want a full post-Christmas tournament.

U1000 runs only from December 28–29. This section gives lower-rated and newer tournament players a compact 2-day option.
