⏱️ Time Control & Pairings
Pairings will be produced with Swiss-Manager. The September 2026 ECF list is used for section allocation, pairings and best-performance awards.
| Section | Format and time control | Rating submission |
|---|---|---|
| Open | 6 Swiss rounds · 20 minutes + 10 seconds per move | ECF Rapid and FIDE Rapid |
| Junior Major | 6 Swiss rounds · 20 minutes + 10 seconds per move | ECF Rapid and FIDE Rapid |
| Junior Minor | Two games per scheduled round, alternating colours · 10 minutes + 5 seconds per move | ECF Rapid |
A player arriving more than 10 minutes after a round starts loses by default unless the organizers can make a satisfactory re-pairing. Players whose opponents have not arrived should also expect to be re-paired where practical.
The published tiebreak sequence is the sum of progressive scores, followed by the sum of opponents’ scores.
🏆 Prize Fund
The Open and Junior Major each carry £200 in cash prizes. Junior Minor uses trophies rather than cash.
