A.S.D. Scuola di Scacchi Torre & Cavallo is a chess association based in Sarezzo, in the province of Brescia, Lombardy, Italy. The organization affiliates with the Federazione Scacchistica Italiana (FSI) under club code 9121. Its activities combine tournament chess, chess education, school programs, junior development, cultural initiatives, and promotional events throughout the Brescia area.

The association has promoted and taught chess across the province since 2007. International Master Roberto Messa was among its founders. Chess education is one of the association’s defining activities. Torre & Cavallo has operated its Scacchi a Scuola project since 2010, bringing chess directly into schools throughout the province of Brescia.

Under Aristide Zorzi’s direction, the project expanded to 56 municipalities in the Brescia area during its first eight years. It has worked with numerous comprehensive schools and includes both primary and secondary pupils. In addition, some schools have incorporated a giant-chessboard psychomotor program for younger children.

The association also organizes chess courses outside schools. Its qualified instructors have worked in libraries, oratories, prisons, and day centers. Therefore, Torre & Cavallo reaches both young players and adults who may encounter chess outside a traditional chess club.

Torre & Cavallo uses chess as both a sport and a cultural activity. Its public programs include living chess games, giant outdoor chessboards, chess-themed exhibitions, and community events.
