The Apatin Open Winter 2026 takes place from December 26–30, 2026, at the Technical School with Boarding Facilities in Apatin, Serbia. Apatin Chess Club “Vulkan Protektor” runs the international festival, which its English regulations also present as the New Year’s Apatin Open 2026.
The five-day program combines two FIDE-rated standard tournaments, five youth rapid sections, and two blitz events. Therefore, players of different ages and rating levels can compete within the same festival.
Moreover, the playing hall, official accommodation, and cafeteria are located in the same complex, which makes the event especially convenient for players, families, coaches, and chess clubs.
