⏱️ Time Control & Pairings

The tournament uses a 5-round Swiss system. Players may choose either the 3-day schedule or the 2-day schedule.

The 3-day schedule begins on Friday evening. The 2-day schedule begins on Saturday morning and merges with the main schedule from Round 3.

Players may request half-point byes. The limit is two byes, and players must commit to all byes before Round 2.

The total guaranteed prize fund is $15,000.

The tournament includes main prizes, class prizes, and mixed doubles bonus prizes. The Major section also includes a $100 clear or tiebreak winner bonus.

Mixed doubles teams consist of one male player and one female player. The team must average under 2200. Players may play in different sections or schedules, and there is no extra fee to register a team.

August 2026 official ratings will be used. US Chess unofficial or US Chess Online Regular ratings may also be used if a player is otherwise unrated.

Players cannot play below their US Chess Online Regular rating minus 100 points.
