The 33rd Annual Midwest Class Championships welcome chess players from across the nation to a high-level tournament taking place from October 10–12, 2025, at the Westin Chicago North Shore Hotel in Wheeling, Illinois. This US Chess Grand Prix and Junior Grand Prix event offers a generous $20,000 guaranteed prize fund, competitive rating-based sections, and flexible two- and three-day schedules. Players of all levels enjoy a fair and challenging environment, paired with professional organization and excellent playing conditions.

Standard Time Control: 40 moves in 80 minutes, followed by 30-minute sudden death with 30-second delay.

    • $140 after October 7 or onsite (up to 1 hour before Round 1)

  • U1100:

    • $78 if paid online by October 7
    • $100 after October 7 or onsite

  • Discounts:

    • $5 discount for Illinois Chess Association members
    • GMs and IMs may deduct $100 from their prize in lieu of entry fee

  • Re-entry (except Premier): $50
