The organizer primarily uses the October 2026 US Chess Regular Supplement for pairings, section eligibility, and prizes.

- A player’s current live rating when applying the 100-point play-up rule
- A peak rating achieved from September 1 through October 2
- An assigned rating for foreign players without sufficient US Chess history
For foreign players rated 2000 or higher by FIDE, the organizer may calculate an assigned US Chess rating as:

Fair-Play and Electronic-Device Policy
During play, players may not carry electronic communication or analysis devices on their person. Restricted items include:

Charlotte Chess Center, commonly known as CCC, is a chess academy, club, and tournament organizer based in Charlotte, North Carolina. It serves children, adults, beginners, club players, titled competitors, and aspiring professionals through structured instruction, regular club activity, and rated competition.
The organization traces its roots to chess events organized in Charlotte from 2007 onward. Peter Giannatos and Gary Newsom later developed the Queen City Chess Association, which held weekly rated games and community tournaments. On March 7, 2014, the group opened its first permanent facility as the Charlotte Chess Center & Scholastic Academy. Moreover, CCC opened a second branch in North Charlotte in 2023.
FIDE Master Peter Giannatos is the founder and executive director of Charlotte Chess Center.
