⏱️ Time Control & Pairings

The main schedule gives each player 80 minutes for the first 40 moves. After that, each player receives 30 minutes for the rest of the game. A 30-second delay applies throughout the game.

The 2-day schedule uses G/60 with a 10-second delay for rounds 1 and 2. After those games, players merge into the regular schedule.

Pairings follow the Swiss system across 5 rounds. The Premier and Under 2100 sections carry FIDE rating status, while US Chess rules apply across the full tournament.

🏆 Prize Fund

The tournament has a guaranteed prize fund of $25,000. The prize list includes section prizes, Premier U2300 prizes, a clear-win or tie-break bonus, and Mixed Doubles bonus prizes.

Mixed Doubles teams consist of one male and one female player. The team average must stay under 2200. Teammates may enter different sections and schedules.

Unrated and Rating Rules

Unrated prize limits apply by section. Also, players cannot enter a section below their USCF Online Regular rating minus 100 points. October official ratings apply, while unofficial or Online Regular ratings may apply when a player otherwise has no rating.

A blitz tournament runs on Saturday evening. Players must register on site by 9:10 PM, and the blitz event begins at 9:30 PM.
