🚗 How to Get There
Caiobá is a coastal district of Matinhos, on the Paraná coast. Players can travel first to Curitiba and then continue to Matinhos by road or bus.
Hotel SESC Caiobá is located at Rua Dr. José Pinto Rebelo Júnior 91, close to the beach and local tourist areas. Therefore, players staying nearby can usually plan short local transfers by car, taxi, or rideshare.
ℹ️ Other
FIDE rules apply unless they conflict with the published festival regulations. In addition, players may agree to a draw only after each player has made at least one move.
The Standard event has a 60-minute forfeit time. Players may not carry electronic devices during a game, and a violation leads to loss of the game.
If a player misses a round without a valid explanation, the arbiter removes that player from the tournament. Appeals must reach the Technical Appeals Committee within 30 minutes after the end of the game and require a R$ 500 fee. The organizer refunds the fee if the appeal succeeds or if the committee accepts that the appeal has valid grounds.
X Torneio Internacional de Xadrez SESC Caiobá 2026 offers a complete chess festival on the Paraná coast, with FIDE-rated events, a major prize fund, training activities, and a rich program for players, coaches, organizers, and families.
