The tournament uses two schedule options. The 3-day schedule uses Game in 90 minutes with a 30-second increment in every round. Meanwhile, the 2-day schedule uses Game in 61 minutes with a 5-second delay in rounds 1 to 3, and then merges into rounds 4 to 6 with the regular G/90 + 30 time control. As a result, players can choose between a more traditional full weekend pace and a compressed two-day format.
The event follows a 6-round Swiss format. In addition, players may request up to two half-point byes in any round, although byes for rounds 5 and 6 must be requested before round 1 starts and cannot be changed later.
