The tournament uses a 7-round Swiss system. Each player receives 45 minutes for the game, with a 15-second increment per move from move one.

The arbiter will announce the round 5 minutes before the start of play. A player who does not arrive within 30 minutes after the round starts will lose by default.

Players may request up to two half-point byes between Rounds 1 and 5. However, they must submit the request in writing to the Chief Arbiter before the next-round pairing is published.

Parents and accompanying persons should leave the playing area after the start of each round. They may return to the tournament area 15 minutes before the next round begins.

🏆 Prize Fund

The total cash prize fund is 500 SGD / approx. $390.

The organizer will not hold a prize ceremony for this tournament. Prize winners should provide a PayPal account, and the organizer plans to issue prize payments within one day.

The tournament has one FIDE-rated standard section.

The event is designed for players rated below 1800 who want regular FIDE-rated standard games in Singapore.

The organizer also limits some lower-rating and unrated categories. As a result, players should confirm their entry status after submitting the registration form.

📅 Schedule

The tournament starts on Friday evening, with registration at 7:00 PM and the first round at 7:10 PM.

Saturday includes five rounds, starting at 10:00 AM. The final round begins at 7:00 PM, and the tournament is scheduled to end at 9:00 PM.

Registration becomes successful only after the organizing team confirms it.

Entry Fees

The 1400–1449 category is limited to 5 places. The unrated category is limited to 6 places.

Players who withdraw before June 10, 2026 may receive a refund with an administrative deduction of 50 SGD / approx. $39. After withdrawal from the tournament, the registration fee is non-refundable.

ℹ️ Other Information

Players must dress neatly in the playing venue. Slippers are not allowed.

Once a round begins, players may not use or possess electronic devices. They must also cooperate with fair play scanning whenever the arbiters request it, including when entering or leaving the playing area.

The competition venue accepts beverages, but not other items. Players should also follow all instructions from the arbiter and tournament staff.
