The tournament uses a 5-round Swiss system. Each player receives 90 minutes for the game, with a 30-second increment per move from move one.

The arbiter will announce the round 5 minutes before the start of play. A player who does not arrive within 45 minutes after the round starts will lose by default.

Players may request one half-point bye between Rounds 1 and 4. The request must be submitted in writing to the Chief Arbiter before the next-round pairing is published.

Parents and accompanying persons should leave the playing area after the start of each round. They may return to the tournament area 15 minutes before the next round begins.

The total cash prize fund is 800 SGD / approx. $624.

The organizer will not hold a prize ceremony for this tournament. Prize winners should provide a PayPal account, and the organizer plans to issue prize payments within one day.

The tournament has one FIDE-rated standard section.

The event is designed for players rated above 1400 and below 2200 who want regular FIDE-rated standard games in Singapore.

The organizer limits the number of available places in some rating categories. As a result, players should confirm their registration status directly with the organizer after submitting the form.

📅 Schedule

The tournament starts on Friday evening, with registration at 7:00 PM and Round 1 at 7:10 PM.

Saturday includes two rounds, starting at 11:00 AM and 3:30 PM. The final two rounds take place on Sunday, followed by the scheduled end of the tournament at 8:00 PM.

Registration becomes successful only after the organizing team confirms it.

Entry Fees

The 2000–2199 category is limited to 2 places. The lower-fee 1500–1599 category is also limited to 2 places, while the extra quota categories are limited by the organizer.

Players who withdraw before June 10, 2026 may receive a refund with an administrative deduction of 50 SGD / approx. $39. After withdrawal from the tournament, the registration fee is non-refundable.

Players must dress neatly in the playing venue and follow the organizer’s footwear rules.

Once a round begins, players may not use or possess electronic devices. They must also cooperate with fair play scanning whenever the arbiters request it, including when entering or leaving the playing area.

The competition venue accepts beverages, but not other items. Players should also follow all instructions from the arbiter and tournament staff.
