Players receive 90 minutes for the game, plus a 30-second increment from move one. Since the event uses a classical format, all players must keep score during their games.

The tournament uses a 7-round Swiss system. In addition, players may request up to two half-point byes during the first four rounds.

The default time is 90 minutes. Therefore, players should still arrive on time and avoid any risk before each round.

Tie-breaks follow this order: direct encounter, Buchholz, and Median Buchholz.

The guaranteed prize fund totals RON 3,500, which equals approximately USD 780. The organizer may also award an additional RON 300 Lucky Loser prize if the event reaches the maximum number of entries.
