67th National Inter-School Team Chess Championships 2026 will take place on September 12 and 13, 2026, in Singapore. The Singapore Chess Federation organizes the championship with the support and collaboration of Overseas Family School.
The event brings together school teams from across Singapore. Students represent their schools in a formal team chess competition, while teachers and school representatives manage the registration process.
The championship uses a rapid time control of 15 minutes plus 10 seconds increment from move one. Each team has four players, and all players must have a FIDE ID for pairing and administrative purposes. However, the event does not count for FIDE rating.

⏱️ Time Control & Pairings
Players compete under the FIDE Laws of Chess. However, the championship does not count for FIDE rating.

Each team must submit a fixed board order before the competition starts. After submission, teams cannot change the board order.
Players must follow the submitted board order during every match. If a team places a player on the wrong board, the opposing team receives a default score of 1 point for each incorrect placing.
In addition, each player may represent only one team. Players cannot enter multiple categories.

The organizer gives awards for school teams, category winners, zonal teams, and individual board performances.

Younger players may enter a higher age-group category. However, older players cannot enter a younger age-group category.
A mixed team with both boys and girls must enter the Open category for its age group. In addition, each school may register up to 4 teams per category.

Registration depends on space availability. Therefore, schools should register early and avoid waiting until the final deadline.
SCF does not accept late entries.

The campus entrance sits at the junction of Pasir Ris Drive 3 and Pasir Ris Drive 10. Therefore, players, teachers, and parents should use this entrance when planning their arrival.

Players, teachers, parents, and accompanying persons should follow OFS campus directions and security instructions.
Vehicles entering OFS must show the registration email confirmation to security.
🍽️ Meals and Venue Rules
A pre-event online food catering order form will open after June 15, 2026.
Participants can collect meals at the designated canteen area. However, they must eat only in the area assigned by OFS management.
All participants must keep the school compound clean. Anyone who litters may face school reporting and tournament penalties.

All players must wear proper school attire, such as full uniform, half uniform, PE attire, or CCA attire. Meanwhile, tertiary students and international school students without standard school attire must wear visible student identification cards.
Players cannot use mobile phones or other electronic devices during play. They must keep all electronics in their bags and place the bags beneath the table during each round.
If an electronic device rings or makes a sound during a game, the player loses immediately without appeal.
In addition, non-players, including parents and accompanying persons, cannot enter the playing area during rounds.
