⏱️ Time Control & Pairings
The tournament uses a classical time control of 90 minutes per player, plus a 30-second increment per move. Therefore, players get a serious long-game format across the three-day schedule.
Pairings follow the Swiss system across 6 rounds. The arbiter team uses SwissSys or Swiss-Manager for pairings. Also, the pairing process tries to avoid same-province pairings in rounds 1 and 2 where possible.
The default time is 60 minutes after the scheduled round time. In addition, players use tournament-supplied equipment during the event.
Championship Section
The Championship section carries FIDE and CFC rating status. It allows a limited number of players without a FIDE rating, with a cap of 25% of total participants.
