The tournament penalizes violations with loss of game, and the organizers and arbiters do not take responsibility for device custody.

Players must not analyze games or reproduce games in the playing hall, and a player must not leave the playing area during an ongoing game without arbiter authorization. Players must submit the original signed scoresheet with the correct result after each game; players may stop notation only when they have less than five minutes remaining on the clock. Appeals go to the competition committee within 15 minutes after the game ends, and the appellant must provide a EUR 30 deposit that the committee returns only if the appeal succeeds.

Participation also requires acceptance of the publication of images and personal data (name, surname, year of birth, and sporting data) for tournament communication, lists, and results dissemination.
