⏱️ Time Control & Pairings

Open A, Open B and Open C all use the same classical time control: 90 minutes plus 30 seconds per move from move one. Pairings follow the FIDE Swiss system.

Default & Bye Rules

A player arriving more than 60 minutes after the scheduled start loses by default. The published regulations do not provide a half-point bye option.

The published rating bands overlap between A and B around 1901–1949, so eligible players in that range should select their intended section during registration and follow the organizer’s final acceptance.

Federation Requirements

Italian players and foreign players resident in Italy must hold the appropriate 2026 FSI membership. Foreign players not resident in Italy must have a valid FIDE identification number issued by their federation.
