⏱️ Time Control & Pairings

The Standard, Rapid and Blitz competitions use Swiss pairings. Digital and analog clocks have different published settings, so players should verify the clock before the first move.

The tiebreak order is direct encounter, Buchholz Cut 1, total Buchholz, Sonneborn-Berger, number of wins, performance rating and drawing of lots.

The Standard default time is 30 minutes, Rapid 15 minutes and Blitz 3 minutes. A player arriving after the applicable tolerance period may lose by default.

If players tie for a cash award, the relevant prizes are combined and divided between the tied players under the organizer’s published rule.
