SK Aljehin Pančevo, officially known as Šahovski klub “Aljehin” Pančevo, is a chess club and tournament organizer based in Pančevo, Serbia. The club was founded in 2009 to provide talented young players with opportunities to study chess, improve their skills, and compete without having to leave their home city. Its chess school has developed into one of the club’s principal activities, bringing together children from Pančevo and nearby communities. The club’s members have competed successfully in youth championships, school competitions, team leagues, and other national and international events.
🏆 Tournaments and Chess Events
SK Aljehin Pančevo organizes classical, rapid, and youth chess competitions. Its best-known event is the Pančevo Open, a traditional FIDE-rated tournament that attracts players from Serbia and other countries. The club also runs the Aljehin International Youth Tournament and seasonal rapid competitions for preschool children, primary-school pupils, and secondary-school students.
