🏆 Prize Fund

The total confirmed cash prize fund in the senior sections is PLN 2,600 gross. Cash prizes are paid in PLN. Prizes do not combine, and each player may receive only one financial or material prize. In addition, every prize must be collected in person at the closing ceremony, otherwise it is forfeited.

In addition, IMTA awards prize items for 4th place, 5th place, best woman, and best senior 60+. IMTJ awards prize items for places 1-3 in each age group and also for the best girl in U18, U14, and U10. The youngest player in the whole championship also receives a prize item.

⏱️ Time Control & Pairings

The event uses Swiss pairings in all three tournaments. IMT is played over 5 rounds with a time control of 60 minutes plus a 30-second increment from move one. Meanwhile, IMTA and IMTJ are played over 7 rounds with a time control of 55 minutes plus a 5-second increment from move one. Therefore, the event combines a main classical chess tournament section with two faster FIDE-rated sections for amateurs and juniors.

In addition, FIDE Laws of Chess apply in all tournaments, and notation is compulsory. The published tie-break order is Buchholz Cut 1, full Buchholz, Sonneborn-Berger, progressive score, direct encounter, number of wins, and number of wins with Black. The allowed delay is 15 minutes from the start of the round. Moreover, a forfeit loss and unjustified absence result in removal from the pairings for the following round.
