International Youth Chess Festival Mureck 2026
International Youth Chess Festival Mureck 2026 will bring young players to southern Styria from August 1 to 8, 2026. The festival combines two nine-round classical groups with an open U18 blitz tournament.
The classical competitions use a long time control of 90 minutes plus a 30-second increment from move one. Group A, Group B and the blitz event are administered separately, but they share the same venue and festival program.
The week also includes organized accommodation, live-board coverage and a scheduled excursion. This makes the event suitable for individual players, families, clubs and youth delegations planning a full tournament stay in Mureck.
