Academia de Xadrez da Maia, commonly abbreviated as AXM, is a chess academy and tournament organizer based in Pedrouços, Maia, Portugal. The academy was established in September 2014 as a project dedicated to chess education, player development, and the organization of chess events. Its technical team includes experienced and accredited chess instructors, and the organization works with the Portuguese Chess Federation and the Maia City Council in developing chess within the municipality’s educational and sporting structures.
