
Alpenpokal 2027 is the 52nd edition of the traditional Alpenpokal chess tournament, taking place from January 11 to January 19, 2027 in Fischen-Langenwang, Bavaria, Germany.
The nine-round classical tournament combines competitive chess with a winter stay in the Allgäu region near Oberstdorf. Games are played at Hotel Sonnenbichl am Rotfischbach, which also offers accommodation and leisure facilities for players and accompanying guests.
The tournament is rated for both FIDE Elo and German DWZ.

🚆 How to Get There
Fischen-Langenwang is located in Bavaria’s Oberallgäu region close to Oberstdorf.
Players arriving by car from northern Germany can approach the region via the A7 motorway and continue toward Fischen-Langenwang.
ChessOrg also offers an arranged pickup from Oberstdorf railway station on January 10, 2027, between 16:00 and 17:00. Players who need this service should arrange it with the organizer in advance.
