International participants should confirm Austrian and Schengen entry requirements.

A valid FIDE ID is mandatory, so foreign players should verify the federation and FIDE details shown in the entry list.

ℹ️ Other Information

Double prizes are excluded and pass to the next eligible player under the published prize rules.

Drinks and small snacks are expected to be available for purchase at the venue.

The organizer may assist with a FIDE ID application, but this should be arranged well before tournament day.

A valid FIDE ID is a mandatory entry condition rather than an optional rating detail. Players who do not yet have an ID should contact Daniel Lieb well before tournament day, because assigning or correcting federation information at the 1:45 p.m. attendance deadline may not be possible.

The three main prizes are shared under the Hort system when players finish level, while category prizes are decided by tiebreak and are not shared. Category awards also depend on minimum participation: the main schedule is guaranteed from 30 total entries, and each category requires at least five eligible players.

The U2000, U1800 and U1600 awards are designed for players who do not receive an incompatible higher prize. The U16 and S60 categories have their own €30 awards. Since double prizes are excluded, an award passes to the next eligible player under the published procedure.

Sparkassenplatz has central-access restrictions, and the regulations direct participants to the side entrance opposite the Trinkhalle. Drivers should identify a legal parking area before the 1:45 p.m. confirmation deadline. The seven-round afternoon program can finish in the evening, so the return journey should also be checked in advance.
