26° Torneo Open “Ricciardi” returns to Cardano al Campo, Italy from June 5 to June 7, 2026. The event is organized by ASD Scacchistica Gallaratese with the patronage of the Municipality of Cardano al Campo and will be played at Sala Ipazia.

The tournament uses a 5-round Swiss system. Each player receives 90 minutes for the game plus a 30-second increment per move, which gives the event a full classical weekend rhythm.
The regulations also set a clear late-arrival rule. Players may arrive up to 30 minutes after the start of a round. However, once that limit passes, the arbiter scores the game as a forfeit loss.
The pairings follow the FIDE Swiss system. Tie-breaks then follow this order: direct encounter, Buchholz Total, Buchholz Cut 1, and ARO. In addition, players may request a forfeit draw in line with the applicable FSI tournament rules.
