15th Ev Agonizesthai Rapid 2026 will take place from August 21–23, 2026 at Café Eparcheion in Pyrgos, Greece. AE Lechainon and SA Pyrgou organize the open rapid tournament together with a separate U12 competition. Therefore, the festival gives adult, junior and young local players a complete speed-chess weekend in the city’s central square.

Players will compete in a nine-round Open Rapid and a seven-round U12 tournament. The published time control is 20+5 in the Open and 10+3 in the U12 event. Moreover, the organizer uses separate pairings and standings and applies a detailed rapid tie-break sequence. The published prize fund is €2,000 / approx. $2,300.

Café Eparcheion occupies a central location with cafés, restaurants and local services around the square. In addition, the official program includes exact check-in, round and award times for both competitions. Consequently, players should review the registration rules, schedule, travel arrangements and official resources before making non-refundable bookings.
