LASKER Barlinek organizes the festival together with Barlinecki Ośrodek Kultury and the Municipality of Barlinek. The 6th edition, held on August 23, 2025, attracted 108 registered players from Poland, Germany, and Ukraine. Krzysztof Wolski served as Festival Director, while the program featured separate Open and junior competitions. The 7th edition will take place on August 29, 2026. Tournament A is a nine-round FIDE Rapid-rated competition using a 12+3 time control. A separate junior tournament provides competition for players under 18. The Open offers PLN 2,100 in cash prizes, together with additional awards, while the overall event has a maximum capacity of 90 players. FA Arkadiusz Korbal will serve as arbiter, while Krzysztof Wolski again handles tournament organization and registrations. The German Chess Federation, Emanuel Lasker Society, and ChessBase are among the international partners supporting the event.

The geographical position of Barlinek and the international legacy of Emanuel Lasker give the club particularly strong links with German chess. German players regularly participate in the Lasker festival, while Hans-Jürgen Hochgräfe assists with communication and registration for participants from Germany.
