8ème Open Rapide de Geneston – Le Bignon 2026
The 8ème Open Rapide de Geneston – Le Bignon 2026 takes place on Sunday, October 4, 2026 at the Salle Polyvalente in Le Bignon, Loire-Atlantique, France. Geneston Sud Loire Échecs organizes the eighth edition at a new playing location in Le Bignon.
The tournament uses nine Swiss rounds at 12 minutes plus 3 seconds per move and is submitted for the November 2026 FIDE Rapid list. Pairings use the latest approved PAPI software without club or family protection.
The total cash fund is linked to participation: the organizer guarantees that at least 75% of entry fees will return as prizes, with €150 guaranteed for the winner. Because the final total varies with the entry, the separate USD prize field remains blank.
