25th Marienbad Open 2027 takes place from January 16–23, 2027 in Mariánské Lázně, Czech Republic. Moreover, AVE CHESS z.s. organizes the event and coordinates the tournament program. The playing venue is Hotel Continental – Hlavní třída 230/88, 353 01 Mariánské Lázně, Czech Republic.

In addition, the program features gM and IM round robins, Open, 50+ tournament, rapid, and blitz. All four classical sections use nine rounds at 90 minutes for 40 moves, followed by 30 minutes, with a 30-second increment from move one. In addition, the GM and IM sections are ten-player round robins with published minimum-rating frameworks. Norm eligibility depends on the final field and current FIDE rules. Consequently, the rapid uses seven rounds at 10+5, and the blitz uses eleven rounds at 3+2. Classical players face a one-hour waiting time.

🏆 Prize Fund

The published cash totals are CZK10,000 for the GM round robin, CZK6,000 for the IM round robin, CZK30,000 for the Open, CZK20,000 for Seniors 50+, and CZK1,500 for each speed event. Consequently, the complete fixed cash total reaches CZK68,000, approximately $3,200 after conversion and upward rounding. Material prizes remain separate.

Submit obligatory classical applications and accommodation orders by January 6 through the official application system or office@avechess.cz . In addition, norm-tournament applications are subject to organizer acceptance and rating conditions. Obtain written confirmation before booking. Consequently, foreign participants need a FIDE ID at application. Rapid and blitz registration takes place on the event day.
