Ednilson Monteiro Rosas, widely known as Ed Rosas, is a Brazilian chess organizer, tournament director, licensed International Arbiter, and sports-event professional based in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. FIDE awarded him the FIDE Arbiter title in 2022, the International Arbiter title in 2023, and the Associate Organizer title in 2025. His FIDE ID is 22722777, and he holds an active International Arbiter licence.
Ednilson operates Ed Rosas Eventos Esportivos, an organization that plans, manages, officiates, and broadcasts chess competitions. Its services include tournament regulations, registrations, venue coordination, arbiter teams, pairings, rating submissions, live-board transmission, video coverage, and communication with participants. He also serves as the Southeast Regional Director of the Brazilian Chess Confederation. In this role, he supports chess activity across the states of Brazil’s Southeast Region and works with federations, clubs, arbiters, organizers, players, and national tournament officials.
