⏱️ Time Control & Pairings

The tournament uses a 9-round Swiss system under FIDE rules. The default time is 30 minutes, so players should be in the hall on time for every round. In addition, all players in the main Open must have a FIDE ID. Importantly, the pairings for the 35. Int. Open Feffernitz 2026 follow the same Swiss principles as previous editions.

Tie-breaks in the main Open follow points, Elo performance, and cut Buchholz. The event therefore keeps a familiar and practical structure for a week-long summer classical tournament.
