35. Int. Open Feffernitz 2026 runs from August 15-22, 2026. This is a chess tournament in Feistritz/Drau, Austria, in 2026. It returns as the 35th edition of the Feffernitz summer open and keeps its established week-long classical format in Carinthia. Furthermore, the 35. Int. The tournament uses a 9-round Swiss system under FIDE rules. The default time is 30 minutes, so players should be in the hall on time for every round. In addition, all players in the main Open must have a FIDE ID. Importantly, the pairings for the 35. Int. Open Feffernitz 2026 follow the same Swiss principles as previous editions.

Tie-breaks in the main Open follow points, Elo performance, and cut Buchholz. The event therefore keeps a familiar and practical structure for a week-long summer classical tournament.

🏆 Prize Fund

The confirmed cash prize fund for the main Open is €4,300, which is approximately $4,950 using the ECB euro reference rate of EUR 1 = USD 1.1517 published for March 27, 2026. Cash prizes are paid only to players who are present at the prize ceremony. Consequently, prize distribution at the 35. Int. Open Feffernitz 2026 strictly follows the published invitation terms.
