The XXXI Festival “Città di Palermo” uses a Swiss pairing system. Open A, Open B, and Open C each run over 7 rounds.
Each player receives 90 minutes for the game, plus a 30-second increment from move one. Therefore, the event gives players a serious classical chess tournament with standard rated-game conditions.
