The SZACHNET CHESS CUP 2025 invites players rated under 1800 Elo to a thrilling weekend tournament in Rybnik, Poland, hosted at the Hotel Politański. Organized by Szachowa Szkoła Szachnet, this event promotes chess among youth and adults, builds community connections, and offers a valuable opportunity to gain rating points and national categories. The tournament promises strong competition, an excellent playing venue, and a welcoming chess atmosphere.

• Promote chess and increase youth interest.
• Unite the local and regional chess community.
• Help players gain or improve international FIDE ratings.
• Provide norms for 5th, 4th, 3rd, 2nd, and 1st (women’s) national categories.

⏱️ Format & Time Control

• Rounds: 7 (Swiss System)
• Time Control: 30 minutes + 30 seconds increment per move
• Late Arrival Rule: 15 minutes max delay allowed
• Notation: All players must record games until the last move
• Rated: FIDE-rated tournament for players under 1800 Elo
