Organizers will host the Ostravský koník 2025 Chess Festival from May 10 to May 18, 2025, at Pavilion A, Černá Louka Exhibition Centre, in Ostrava, Czech Republic. This annual event, known as the Ostravsky konik 2025 Chess festival, invites young chess enthusiasts to participate in various tournaments, including FIDE-rated events, blitz, bughouse, Fischer Random, and more. The festival aims to provide a comprehensive and inclusive experience for players of all skill levels.

⏱️ Time Control

• FIDE Open Tournaments: 90 minutes for 40 moves, followed by 30 minutes for the rest of the game, with a 30-second increment per move from move one.
• Blitz Tournament: 5 minutes per player.

• Total Prize Fund: 180,000 CZK
• FIDE Open A Winner: 30,000 CZK
• Special Prizes: Best Woman, Best Junior (U18), Best Senior (60+), Best Ostravian Player
