The Kielce Chess Open 2025 invites chess enthusiasts of all levels to participate in a top-tier chess event in the heart of Poland. Hosted at the elegant Grand Hotel** Kielce**, the tournament features four separate sections tailored to different rating categories and age groups. Players will compete under FIDE rules for prestigious titles, rating points, and a generous prize fund. The event also includes side tournaments, cultural trips, and a welcoming chess atmosphere.
🧠 Tournament Goals
- Promote the game of chess in the Świętokrzyskie region
- Provide opportunities to achieve norms for FIDE titles (GM, IM, WGM, WIM)
- Help players gain or improve FIDE ratings
- Foster competition and friendship among chess players

🧩 Tournament Sections
- Tournament A – For players with FIDE rating ≥ 2000
- Tournament B – For players with FIDE rating ≤ 2150 or unrated
- Tournament C – Juniors under 14 (born 2011 or later, FIDE rating max 1799)
- Tournament D – Juniors under 10 (born 2015 or later, local rating max 1600)

- Groups A & B: 90 minutes for 40 moves + 15 minutes for the rest, 30-sec increment from move 1
- Groups C & D: 30 minutes per game + 30-sec increment from move 1

- 2nd: 3000 PLN + Trophy

- 4th–12th: 1500 to 350 PLN

- Best Female: 800 PLN + Trophy
- Best by Rating (3 brackets): 400–600 PLN
- Best LKS Skała Tumlin player: 300 PLN + Trophy
🥈 Tournament B:
- 1st: 2000 PLN + Trophy
- 2nd: 1500 PLN + Trophy
- 3rd: 1000 PLN + Trophy
- 4th–10th: 700 to 250 PLN
Special Prizes:
- Best U18 / Female: 450 PLN + Trophy
- Best by Rating (4 brackets): 250–400 PLN
- Best LKS Skała Tumlin player: 200 PLN + Trophy

- 1st: 600 PLN + Trophy
- Organizers will allocate at least 40% of entry fees for additional prizes
🏅 Tournament D:
- 1st: 300 PLN + Trophy
- At least 40% of entry fees will go to extra prizes
🎓 All award winners must attend the closing ceremony to receive prizes.
