Additionally, places 6-15 in both main sections receive material prizes. C1 and C2 award medals and material prizes rather than cash prizes. Prize money in Open A and Open B depends on the published player thresholds, so the organizer may apply the stated conditions if participation is lower.

⏱️ Time Control & Pairings

The festival uses Swiss pairings in all sections. Open A runs over 5 rounds with a time control of 60 minutes plus a 30-second increment from move one. Meanwhile, Open B runs over 7 rounds with 60 minutes per player. C1 and C2 are category tournaments played over 5 rounds with 30 minutes per player. Therefore, the festival combines a stronger classical chess tournament for advanced players with more accessible events for amateurs and developing competitors.

In addition, current FIDE Laws of Chess apply throughout the festival. The maximum delay in Open A and Open B is 15 minutes from the scheduled start of the round. Open A requires full notation for the entire game, while Open B requires notation until a player has five minutes remaining. Every participant must have a card in the Central Register. The organizer also states that Open A and Open B may be merged into one section if the number of entries is too low.
