⏱️ Time Control & Pairings
The tournament uses a 6-round knockout system with a connected Swiss-system event. Each knockout match starts with one classical game. Players who leave the knockout bracket continue in the Swiss-system competition, so they can keep playing through the event.
The starting order and the color allocation for the first pairing will be drawn at the venue before play begins. In addition, players from the same club should avoid meeting each other in the first two rounds when possible.
The time control is 90 minutes for 40 moves, followed by 15 additional minutes. Each player also receives a 30-second increment from move one.
If a knockout game ends in a draw, the players continue with two blitz games at 3 minutes + 2 seconds. If the score still remains level, an Armageddon game decides the match. White receives 5 minutes, Black receives 4 minutes, and Black wins the match if that game ends in a draw.
The default time is 30 minutes from the actual start of the round.
💰 Prize Fund
The confirmed prize fund is €1,000, approximately $1,170. The full amount is guaranteed with at least 40 players. If fewer players take part, the organizer pays out the entry fees while keeping the same prize proportions.
