⏱️ Time Control & Pairings

The finals use a two-stage system in each category. Stage 1 is a round robin tournament with 8 players split into two groups of 4 players (Group A and Group B). The organizer balances the groups as equally as possible by average Elo, and unrated players are allocated alphabetically if needed.

Stage 2 uses placement matches between players who finish in the same position in each group. The match format is best of two classical games. If a match ends tied, the players continue with rapid tie-break games (15+2) and then sudden-death blitz games (3+2) if needed until the match winner is decided.
