Jyväs-Shakki ry is a long-running chess club based in Jyväskylä, Central Finland. Founded in 1946, it supports competitive and social chess in the region. Today, it serves as a local tournament organizer for national and international events.
Jyväs-Shakki organizes the Heart of Finland Open, a flagship open chess tournament held each summer in Jyväskylä. Moreover, the event is a nine-round Swiss with FIDE-rated tournaments at classical time controls. In addition, the club coordinates registration, byes, and on-site round logistics. As a result, players get a smooth, reliable competition week.
