About Chinese Chess Association (CCA)
The Chinese Chess Association (CCA) is the official governing body of international chess in Mainland China. Established in 1986 under the administration of Zhongguo Qiyuan, the CCA is responsible for organizing, promoting, and regulating chess activities nationwide. It represents China in the International Chess Federation (FIDE) and the Asian Chess Federation. The CCA plays a central role in elevating China’s presence in global chess by developing young talents, running educational programs, and hosting elite-level events. Among the most prominent tournaments it organizes are the China Chess League, the S T Lee Beijing International Open, and the Tan Chin Nam Invitational, which consistently attract world-class players and top Chinese grandmasters.
