Ayuntamiento de Gor is the municipal government of Gor, a town in the province of Granada, Andalusia, Spain. The municipality lies in northeastern Granada, beside the Sierra de Baza Natural Park. The event also commemorates Graciano Plaza Andújar. By maintaining the memorial tournament, the municipality preserves an established local chess tradition while giving new generations an opportunity to participate.
The XXXVI Torneo Ajedrez Gor San Cayetano 2026 – Memorial Graciano Plaza Andújar takes place on August 1, 2026. Players compete over seven Swiss-system rounds at a rapid time control of eight minutes plus three seconds per move. The tournament counts toward the Spanish national rating.
The competition takes place at the Centro Multiusos on Calle Ancha in Gor. David Hernández Plaza serves as tournament director, while Francisco José Ferrer Escudero serves as chief arbiter.
The municipal council also publishes tournament announcements and practical information through its website and social media channels. As a result, residents and visiting players can follow registration information, schedules, venues, and other event updates.
