The Weekend Torri d’Acaja – Memorial Laura Novellini is the club’s main recurring open tournament. The event reaches its 6th edition on November 14–15, 2026 at the Circolo Autonomi in Fossano. The 2026 competition is a five-round FIDE-rated classical Open with a time control of 60 minutes plus a 30-second increment per move. The compact weekend format is designed for both local players and visitors who want serious rated chess without committing to a longer festival. The tournament also remembers Laura Novellini, whose name has become associated with this annual Torri d’Acaja event.

♜ Team Chess

Torri d’Acaja also participates in the Campionato Italiano a Squadre, Italy’s national club team championship. In recent seasons, the organization has entered teams under the names Fossano A and Fossano B, providing club members with opportunities to compete collectively against other Piedmont chess clubs. Team competition complements the club’s individual tournament program and helps connect Fossano players with the wider regional chess community.
