Dečji šahovski klub Kapablanka 1992 is a Novi Sad-based chess club and active chess organizer in Serbia. The club focuses strongly on youth chess and has built a visible role in the local and regional chess community. Moreover, it supports organized competition, player development, and regular chess activity for children and ambitious young players.

The club runs tournament participation, youth-focused events, and a steady stream of local chess activity during the season. In addition, it organizes rapid chess, memorial events, and other open chess tournament formats in and around Novi Sad. The 2. Memorijalni turnir Miroslav Čabarkapa Mimica belongs to this same program and reflects the club’s role as a committed tournament organizer in the Vojvodina chess scene.

Beyond event delivery, the club also contributes to junior chess growth through training, mentoring, and school-related chess promotion. Furthermore, it has developed a recognizable place in local chess through long-term work with children and repeated involvement in competitive events. As a result, Kapablanka 1992 remains an important chess training and grassroots tournament organization in Novi Sad.
