Florida Chess Association

The Florida Chess Association is the official US Chess state affiliate and a statewide chess federation based in Florida, United States. It is administered by an elected board and coordinates championship governance for Florida players. Moreover, it supports a broad network of clubs, scholastic programs, and tournament staff across the state.

FCA sanctions and promotes Florida championship events and other competitive play, including the Florida State Women’s and Girls Championship. In addition, it supports US Chess–rated tournaments across classical chess, rapid chess, and blitz chess time controls through its event calendar and partner organizers. As a result, players can follow a consistent pathway from local events to recognized state titles.

Furthermore, FCA helps grow participation through outreach with clubs and scholastic communities statewide. Consequently, its championship structure remains a key reference point for competitive chess in Florida.
