Chessence is a German chess education company and tournament organizer. Based in Marsberg, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany, it supports ambitious club players and improvers. Today, Chessence combines structured training programs with well-run over-the-board events.

With the Chessence Open 2026, Chessence brings a compact weekend tournament to Willingen (Upland), Germany. Players compete in rating-based groups with DWZ evaluation and selected FIDE Elo sections. Moreover, the format delivers five classical rounds from Friday to Sunday. In addition, an optional Midnight Blitz adds a competitive side event.
