Club d’échecs de Trois-Rivières is a non-profit chess club based in Trois-Rivières, Québec, Canada. For more than two decades, it has brought together players from the Mauricie region in a structured but friendly club environment. The club is affiliated with the Fédération québécoise des échecs and serves as a regional hub for classical, rapid and blitz chess.
At its regular club evenings in the Pavillon St-Arnaud, members of all levels can play training games, internal tournaments and league matches. In addition, the club runs youth projects and school activities that help new players discover tournament chess in a relaxed setting. This mix of social play and rated competition makes the club attractive both for beginners and experienced competitors.
As the organizer behind the long-running Championnat Ouvert de la Mauricie, the Club d’échecs de Trois-Rivières also manages one of Québec’s flagship weekend opens. Through clear regulations, a generous guaranteed prize fund and comfortable hotel playing conditions, the organizing team offers visiting players a professional yet welcoming tournament experience every March.
